Welcome to China Tang a Cantonese
restaurant in the heart of The Dorchester in London. Here you’ll get the most authentic food
outside of China, a taste sensation!
I invited Hernan Palacios; Operation Director of Moo Restaurant, Atilio Falco; Director of Troubaudor, Luc Coquillard; Assistant FNB Director, InterContinental Park Lane and Laura Heywood; journalist Harpers Magazine, to attend this special Malbec lunch.

What we ate:

To follow the Dim Sum we had Crispy Duck
with pancakes and Ho Fun Noodles in a Black Bean sauce. With these two courses I served both the
Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2009 and Amado Sur Malbec 2009.
The Amado Sur worked really well with
duck, with its hint of Bonarda and Syrah, it had a great depth of flavour and
spiciness which added complexity and really enhanced the ducks own spicing.
With the noodles Hernan enjoyed the Golden
Reserve Malbec, the intensity of
wine, alongside the black bean sauce
worked really well, enhancing the flavour combinations, and was, in his
opinion, the match of the day!
Finally, to pudding, we indulged in a
magnificent fruit platter; Honeydew melon, rock melon, pineapple, papaya,
mango, dragon fruit, mangos, passion fruit, rambutan, kiwi, mandarins, prickly
pear, grenadillo, and bananas, all spilling from the beautiful plate. To match with this the new dessert wine from
Trivento; Brisa de Otoño, a wine made with 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Viognier
all late harvested when the grapes are at their sweetest. It’s such an elegant wine, with very delicate
floral notes; there were several comments of the aromas and flavours being as
jasmine and roses:
The best wine: The Golden Reserve Malbec 2009
The best wine match: TRIBU Malbec with the Dim Sum
The best convesation motivator: The brisa de otoño
