Trivento Tasting @ Blue Bird Chelsea

We Started Malbec Month at Blue bird with the dream team at Blue Bird: Jeremie Martinet and Frederic Ahuir.

Jeremie started with an introduction about the tasting. The Theme was Malbec and its varied styles.

As an arrival drink, we welcomed everyone with a glass of Viognier ‘Tribu’, Trivento 2012. This is something unusual for most of BlueBird guests as they normally drink Torrontes as a white wine from Argentina, but we received really good feedback on the wine.

Then we follow with a selection of different Malbecs starting with: Malbec ‘Tribu’ (No barrel ageing), Malbec Private selection (6 Months in Barrel) , Malbec Amado Sur (Blend with Bonarda and Syrah) and Malbec Golden Reserve from Lujan de Cuyo (12 month in French oak).  I explained the different styles and the different ways of making these wines.

It was a great event with lots of interaction and questions. They really enjoy the wines and it was great to see 35 of blue bird’s guests coming to the Trivento tasting.
